VETERINARIAN
Dr. Heather Henry has always had a love for animals. Ever since she was a child, she has constantly surrounded herself with animals - dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs - and she rode horses competitively for over 12 years.
Dr. Henry started her veterinarian journey as a vet assistant at the age of 19. She was attending college at Delaware Valley College as an Animal Science Major. Afterward, she attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia during which time her externships included camelids, cattle, and sheep.
After graduation, Dr. Henry started her own farm animal practice in 2003, and continues to care for all types of large animals while still giving the deserved time and proper attention to the cat and dog patients of Wags to Whiskers.
Dr. Henry is amazing at reading the personality of animals and comforting them when they are in a stressful moment. She truly cares about every single patient she sees, and it shows.
When she's not caring for small and large animals, Dr. Henry spends as much time as she can with her husband and two very active daughters either snowmobiling, camping, or boating.
